i learned

its possible to start a program that doesnt rely on the states for funding. when i leave, i dont want it all to deteriorate into nothing at all.

that said, we’d like some help from the states too!

i learned:

do not grant children harmonicas and sugar candies for their birthdays if youll be in a small apartment together for the weekend.
do not expect people to believe that i dont have money to build a school or send their village to college. (everyone, to the states through scholarships.)
mosquito nets can be suffocating.
lasagna noodles are expensive in kenya.
my 4 gb card can be filled up entirely.
